Limpopo

Lions of the Kruger National Park For accommodation and travel or tourism options, the Limpopo provice is a nature lovers paradise. From some of the most luxurious and world renowned Game Reserves to basic, budget accommodation options, this region has what you're after.

With the main attraction being the Kruger National Park, this is supported by many interesting alternatives. Private Game Resreves abound and a visitor will be enthralled by the scenery when driving through the areas around Warmbaths, or heading towrds the Lapalala Wilderness areas.

Limpopo is the northernmost province of our beautiful land of South Africa. The province shares borders with the neighbouring SADC (Southern Africa Development Communnity) countries of Botswana in the western side, Mozambique on the east and Zimbabwe in the north. Its proximity to all these SADC countries makes Limpopo the perfect springboard for exploring the riches of this exciting part of the African continent.

Polokwane - the former Pietersburg - is the capital of the Limpopo Province. Polokwane's traffic links are excellent. The town lies halfway between Gauteng (300km) and Zimbabwe (200km) on the N1 freeway.

One of the attractions is the Bakone Malapa Open-Air Museum, 9km south of the town centre. It is a "living museum", impressively demonstrating the history and culture of the Sotho people in the north.

The small and picturesque towns of Thabazimbe; Loui Trichardt Tzaneen and Nylstroom offer interesting stop overs for those visiting the region or travelling through to destinations such as Zimbabwe and the Game Reserves of Botswana. Accommodation options are many and are varied - from bed and breakfast accommodation through to luxury game lodges; game farms and Hotels, please browse our site to see what is available.
