Eastern Cape

Eastern Cape Situated on the South Eastern tip of Africa, the Eastern Cape is a jewel of Africa. The birthplace of both Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki and the traditional home of the Xhosa people, the Eastern Cape offers tourists some of the most interesting and diversified holiday opportunities available in Africa, with numerous accommodation options available from self catering holiday homes to a selection of bed and breakfast alternatives for the shorter visit.

With miles and miles of un-spoilt beaches, some of the best malaria free game parks in Africa, (including the Addo Elephant Park), mountains and trout fishing in natural waters, wildlife and sunshine aplenty, the Eastern Cape has it all. The beautiful Amatola Trail, rated one of South Africa's best hiking trails, the famous surfing at Jeffereys Bay ( supertubes; Bruces' Beauties); East Londons' Nahoon Reef and the un-spoilt Wild Coast area, all enabling this region to cater for the many needs of the modern tourist. From the six star homes on the Royal Port Alfred Marina to the more casual beach cottages of Kasouga and Cannon Rocks, we are able to accommodate visitors in the home of their choice at the right price.

For the tourist who wants to escape from the crowds and enjoy natural beauty at its best, the Eastern Cape is a sun lovers paradise. Whether it's a family holiday in one of our luxury villas or whether you're using one as a base to explore the Eastern Cape's vast beauty, this region has it all. Use one or more of our selected homes as a base to enjoy this wonderful area.

The Eastern Cape is a province of beautiful contrast, the arid semi-desert of the Karoo centered around the beautiful historic town of Graaff-Reinet is contrasted by the two bigger cities of Port Elizabeth and East London and the lush greenery of the Wild Coast, the mountain regions and sun, sea and sand aplenty.

Steeped in history, the Eastern Cape is a mixture of diversified cultures. The evolution and history of the Xhosa nation, the arrival of the early British, German and European settlers in the 1700's, the vast beauty and magnificent weather all make up this wonderful and diversified region, ideal for visitors and residents alike.

We pride ourselves on our selection of self-catering family holiday homes that allow tourists the home comforts and a little more when visiting the region. We have hundreds of bed and breakfast establishments in addition to our range of holiday homes. Please browse the site and let us know how we are able to assist with your holiday plans.
