May travel newsletter

I am proud to put my name to this months travel newsletter, a first for me - we have included some great travel ideas for the June holidays. Our new site is really proving popular, we have received many compliments, my personal congratulations go to all concerned. We can certainly lay claim to being one of the most detailed and professional accommodation portals around. If you have not yet been able to visit the site, please try and do so, we have some great new properties, all-in-all we now offer our customers over 2500 accommodation options – a combination of B&B; Guest House; Camping; self-catering and holiday homes in the main. Look out for our stunning holiday home rental offers for the June Holidays, usually half the price as the same homes in December.

The Eastern Cape/Cacadu district – this months’ preferred destination:

Cacadu tourism have come up with some great packages on what the localEastern Cape market refers to as the 7 Wonders of Our World”. I recently returned from a trip to parts of this region and can certainly vouch for its beauty and value as a holiday destination. Steal a heart under the star studded skies of the Karoo, or brave the wild of the Addo Elephant National Park, my personal favourite, now with the “big 7”! Seek adventure in Tsitsikamma -  Storms River Mouth offers chalet and camping accommodation in a stunning environment. If it’s a little relaxation that you’re after, enjoy the glorious beaches of the Sunshine coast, even in winter, offering you one of the most moderate climates in the country. Enjoy the breathtaking natural setting of the Baviaanskloof or surf champion waves in Jeffreys Bay - also a winter choice. If you are not an outdoor person, soak up the history and culture of Grahamstown. South Africa is privileged to call itself home to the beautiful Cacadu district, where Addo, Baviaans, Grahamstown, Jeffreys Bay, Karoo, Tsitsikamma, and the Sunshine Coast converge to offer the complete seven wonders of our world. December Holidays

This suggestion may seem a little strange but we do suggest you start thinking about the December holidays.  Why wait when you can secure the early bird advantage and enjoy a greater selection before the crowd? By special arrangement, we will allow bookings with only a 20% deposit, payable now. 30% on 30 August and the balance, as usual. This offer applies for bookings made during the next two weeks, please quote “CEO special” as a reference when you make your enquiry via the site. This offer allows you to pay in “small amounts”, far less damaging to your bank account and, more importantly will allow you to secure a great home before the rush. Every year we end up being unable to match the right house with the right customer as most start filling up quite early. Book your family holiday now to avoid disappointment.

Business Travel Tips

We have almost 1000 B&B and Guest Houses on our site – what is the difference? In the true description, a B&B has the family resident on the premises (although in most cases one still enjoys a private entrance/access) - a Guest House on the other hand usually has no permanent residents other than perhaps for staff or management. Both usually offer comfortable lodging with comforts depending on the accredited start grading. We recommend grading of 3 and 4 stars being extremely acceptable, with those wanting a little luxury to consider 4 and 5 star, and those on a budget searching for a suitable 1-3 star establishment. All are regularly inspected and have to comply with TGCSA standards.

Here’s wishing you all well during June, travel safely and let’s hope the good news on the interest rates; the strength of our currency and the excitement of the 2010 Soccer World Cup help us to grind our way from what we hope to be the turning point in our local and the international economy.

Kind Regards,

Alan Hawkins
